Support for disabled individuals

Having progressed successfully through the mainstream education system herself, Emma is only too aware of the many challenges that students face. From assisting with the sometimes complex application process through to providing advice on living away from home, Emma can provide a ‘one stop shop’ for her clients.

The support that Emma provides includes:

  • Helping clients to access the right systems
  • Guidance on funding streams including the Disability Student Allowance and Independent Living Allowance
  • Support through the induction process at College or University
  • Assisting with Care Plans and ensuring that her clients receive everything that they are entitled to
  • Helping with accessing medical services
  • Working alongside Social Workers as an independent third party
  • Attending meetings, lectures and seminars with clients
  • Helping clients with exam preparation and attendance
  • Support through second year independent living

All of these services and more, remove the stress and worry that progressing into mainstream education can cause. Emma also raises awareness of other avenues of support that are available to her clients and she passes on her own knowledge and experience to every client.
